Abstract

The article provides a comprehensive theoretical analysis of the phenomenon of personal resourcefulness, which is considered one of the fundamental categories of modern psychological science. The relevance of the study is due to the growth of social uncertainty, the increase in crisis phenomena and the need to identify internal mechanisms that ensure psychological well-being and stability of the individual. The aim of the work is to generalize scientific ideas about the nature, structure and functions of personal resourcefulness. To achieve the set goal, a set of theoretical methods was used: analysis, synthesis, comparison, systematization and generalization of scientific data. The etymology of the concept of "resource" is traced, which comes from the Latin word meaning "to rise again, to be reborn", which emphasizes its deep connection with the ability to recover. The evolution of the term from the economic metaphor of "psychological capital" to a complex integrative psychological construct is highlighted. The approaches to defining resources in leading international psychological dictionaries are considered, which emphasize the functional, protective role of resources in overcoming stress and adaptation.

The main conceptual approaches to studying personal resourcefulness are systematized. The system-dynamic approach considers resources in constant motion, interaction and circulation, emphasizing that the loss of one resource can trigger a downward spiral of exhaustion. The structural-functional (component) approach focuses on identifying specific components of the resource system, such as optimism, self-efficacy, hope, resilience, awareness. The integrative approach combines cognitive, emotional, social, spiritual and biological aspects into a single multi-level system, and also emphasizes the processes of resource allocation as a key mechanism of adaptation.

The content of key phenomena that act as personal resources is revealed. These include: tolerance to uncertainty as the ability to withstand tension in situations of novelty and ambiguity; optimism as a source of vital energy, which is manifested in positive expectations about the future and in a special style of explaining events; the value-semantic sphere, which consolidates life orientations and gives meaning to existence even in difficult circumstances. The concept of resilience is analyzed, which characterizes the ability of the psyche to recover after adverse conditions and reach a new level of functioning. Awareness is considered as a state of attention in the present moment, a sense of coherence as a comprehensive orientation that allows you to perceive the world as structured and predictable. The main functions of personal resourcefulness are determined, namely, the adaptive function is to ensure a balance between the personality and the environment, mitigating the impact of stressors. The regulatory function is manifested in the ability to purposeful self-regulation of behavior and emotions. The motivational function is realized through the generation of internal strength and orientation to the future. The meaning-making and integrative function provide internal integrity, coherence of life orientations and a sense of coherence of the past, present and future.

It is concluded that personal resourcefulness is not an additive set of positive qualities, but a complex, dynamic, multi-level systemic formation that integrates the internal potential of the individual for effective interaction with the world, overcoming life challenges and ensuring personal growth. Prospects for further research are seen in the empirical study of the structure of resourcefulness in various social groups and the development of programs for its development for psychologists and specialists in helping professions.
