CURRENT TRENDS OF INVESTIGATION OF FOREIGN INVESTMENTS IN THE ECONOMY OF UKRAINE

Abstract

The article deals with the legal and regulatory interpretation of investments, determines factors of economic growth, discloses the impact of foreign direct investment, discloses the concept of securities and portfolio investment, and proposed measures to promote investment attraction in the state economy. Based on the analysis of the dynamics of direct foreign investment inflow into the Ukrainian economy, it was concluded that there was a significant reduction in investment volumes starting in 2014. The best result of investing in 2016 by volume did not reach the level of 2013. The most attractive for foreign investors in the Ukrainian economy was identified: financial and insurance activities, wholesale and retail trade, industry. As a result, the main obstacles to the foreign investment of the Ukrainian economy are identified, namely: unstable economic and political situation in the country, corruption, slow economic changes under the influence of reforms, investors' uncertainty, presence of the shadow economy sector. The proposals aimed at promoting attraction of investments into the state economy are presented. Prospects for further research are the development and implementation of economic mechanisms for increasing the investment attractiveness of individual sectors and enterprises of the Ukrainian economy, which will increase the overall attractiveness of the Ukrainian economy for foreign investors.
