Abstract

The article reveals the forms of hotel product based on the gradation of tangible and intangible services that are the result of economic activity. The main features of the hotel business are presented. The modern principles of hotel business management are analyzed, among which are determined: scientific substantiation, economic efficiency, concreteness, sustainability, systematization, normative-legal conformity. The interpretation of the concepts of "management" and "business management process" is revealed. The connections of the business management process are defined and presented. The conceptual scheme of business management methods is offered. It is concluded that management is not only a process of regulation, but also a system of interconnected elements that interact with each other to make possible the management process. In the process of its development, the modern hotel product has been transformed into two forms - tangible and intangible. The material form existed from the very beginning of the hotel industry. Intangible developed and spread with the development of additional services and increased competition. The expediency of further research on theoretical and methodological aspects of hotel business management in Ukraine is emphasized. First of all, this applies to the European integration context, because the European vector of Ukraine's development opens new horizons for the rise of the hotel industry of Ukraine, through the use of the latest management techniques and scientific and practical developments. The latest market transformations in our country, which are affected by globalization, the development of new forms of government, approaches to ownership, government regulation, increased international competition, have significantly affected the operating conditions of many enterprises in the hotel industry. In such circumstances, it is important to optimally manage the development of the latter, which allows not only the company to survive in a competitive environment, but also to function.
