COMMUNICATION SKILLS OF A COACH-MANAGER

The article highlights the leading communication skills of a coach-manager, which are necessary for successful work. These include a clear understanding of one's abilities and capabilities, the ability not to dominate communication, the ability to clearly formulate problems, the ability to separate facts from impressions, good knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of one's employees, critical thinking skills, mandatory planning of coaching sessions, and others. Communication styles in various production situations in a commercial organization are also described. The content of questions that are recommended to be used when setting a work task, when supporting subordinates, when delegating authority, when providing critical feedback is described in detail.
Effective and ineffective questions of a coach-manager are described. It is noted that effective questions are the main tool for a manager who wants to unleash the potential of his employees, stimulating the thinking process, which allows the employee to come up with new ideas, find solutions and opportunities, and increase their motivation.
The actions of a coach-manager in relation to competent, incompetent, motivated and demotivated subordinates are also highlighted. The questions of a manager are described in the event that a subordinate makes a mistake in work.
