Article Retraction Policy

The «Science notes of KROK University» has a clear policy regarding the retraction of articles, ensuring high standards of academic integrity and transparency. Retraction may be necessary in cases where serious ethical violations occur or other situations arise that question the scientific value of the publication.

 Grounds for Retraction:

  1. Plagiarism or Data Fabrication: If an article contains plagiarism, unauthorized use of others' ideas, or data fabrication (such as falsified experimental results or statistical data), it may be retracted following an appropriate investigation.
  2. Inconsistency Between Results and Conclusions: If, during the review process or after publication, it is discovered that the results of the study do not support the conclusions presented in the article, or if there is a discrepancy between the published results and actual data.
  3. Violation of Copyrights: If the article violates the copyright of third parties or organizations, without obtaining the necessary permissions for the use of materials, such as graphics, images, or tables.
  4. Conflict of Interests: If significant conflicts of interest are discovered that may have influenced the review process or the publication decision.
  5. Unethical Research or Violation of Ethics: If the research did not comply with ethical standards, particularly in studies involving human or animal subjects (for example, lack of required consent or approval, or violation of privacy standards).

 Retraction Process:

  1. Initiating Retraction: Retraction may be initiated by the author, the journal's editorial team, or the reviewers. In case of detecting ethical violations, the editorial team is obliged to review the situation and make the appropriate decision.
  2. Evaluating the Situation: The editorial team carefully investigates all the facts that led to the potential retraction of the article. If the violations are deemed serious, additional expert opinion may be involved.
  3. Informing the Author and Reviewers: If a decision is made to retract the article, the author is informed of the reasons for the retraction. If the retraction is due to ethical violations, the author has the right to appeal the decision to the editorial board.
  4. Official Notification on the Website: The retracted article is marked accordingly on the journal's website, and an explanation is published regarding why the article was retracted. This ensures transparency in the process.

 Conditions for Retraction:

  • Articles can be retracted at any time after publication if serious ethical violations are discovered.
  • The decision to retract is made by the editorial board based on a comprehensive review of the situation.
  • In the case of retraction, an official notice explaining the reasons for retraction will be published on the journal's website to ensure transparency and maintain trust in the publication process.
