Copyright and Licensing
The «Science notes of KROK University» adheres to an Open Access policy, where all scientific articles are made freely available on the journal’s official website immediately upon publication, in compliance with the BOAI (Budapest Open Access Initiative) definition and its core principles.
Regarding copyright, the author retains copyright over their work but grants the journal’s editorial team a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute the article. The articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License International (CC‑BY), which allows others to distribute, copy, and use the work provided the author is credited and the original publication in the journal is acknowledged.
By submitting an article to the editorial board, the author confirms that:
- The article is an original research study, has not been previously published, and is not being submitted for publication elsewhere;
- The author has the right to submit the article and to publish it, and the publication does not violate the copyright of third parties;
- The article is free from plagiarism and was conducted in accordance with ethical standards.
By signing the agreement for rights transfer to the editorial board, the author confirms that the work:
- Does not violate the copyrights of third parties;
- Has not been previously published in other journals.
The agreement also grants the editorial board the right to:
- Publish the article in all available language versions (Ukrainian and English);
- Distribute electronic and printed versions of the work through official sources, electronic databases, repositories, etc.
At the same time, the author retains the right to:
- Use the article’s content for educational purposes;
- Include it in their dissertation, conference papers, or oral presentations;
- Post electronic copies of the article on personal websites, institutional repositories, or non-commercial open-access platforms; provided that proper bibliographic citation or link to the electronic version of the article on the journal’s official website is included.
This licensing model ensures wide accessibility and legal dissemination of scientific results, respects the author’s copyright, and aligns with modern open access practices in scientific publishing.
