The success of IT companies heavily relies on personnel efficiency and team collaboration, making the study of employee engagement factors critically important amid contemporary challenges such as rising talent competition, the shift to hybrid work formats, and uncertainty caused by the war in Ukraine. Team psychological safety, which enables free expression of ideas without fear of judgment, is identified as a pivotal factor warranting theoretical analysis to establish a foundation for empirical research, particularly in the Ukrainian IT sector where this topic remains underexplored. The study aims to investigate the relationship between team psychological safety and employee work engagement in Ukrainian IT companies, substantiate its role in enhancing openness, trust, and productivity under current challenges, and provide a theoretical basis for adapting psychological safety measurement tools to the local context, including hybrid work models and wartime realities. The research is grounded in a theoretical analysis of scientific literature encompassing concepts of psychological safety and engagement. The findings confirm that psychological safety fosters employee engagement by creating conditions for openness and trust within teams, gaining particular significance in Ukrainian IT companies due to labor market instability and the lack of adapted measurement methodologies, thus highlighting the need to develop strategies for boosting engagement. Future research prospects involve examining the impact of psychological safety on engagement across various industries with a focus on teamwork, facilitating its integration into management strategies and accounting for cultural and social factors, while in the rapidly evolving IT sector, such findings can enhance team collaboration, stimulate innovation, and improve overall business efficiency.
