FEATURES OF IMPLEMENTATION OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT IN THE PROCESS OF MANAGEMENT OF RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS

Abstract

The article considers the peculiarities of the implementation of project management in the management process of religious organizations.  It is identified  the specific features of the management of religious organizations due to the peculiarities of their activities, the main problems of management of religious organizations due to insufficient level of modern financial knowledge, skills and abilities of religious leaders. It was determined that the implementation of project management in religious organizations  faces with a number of problems: a lack of certified specialists in project management on the labor market, lack of experience in managing the development of the organization among managers, insufficient motivation to implement innovative tools in the activities of organizations, resistance to innovation due to the discovery of formalization and ineffectiveness of organizational management structures, low level of trust in consulting organizations and educational institutions due to imperfect competition in the market. It was defined the actions that contribute to the effective implementation of project management tools in the management of religious organizations. It is concluded that the development of a special program of religious management and administration, the introduction of a project management program in the educational programs of higher theological educational institutions, the organization of advanced training courses and seminars for priests, professional consultants involved in religious organizations allows to resolve the specified problems and promote the effective implementation of project management tools in management of religious organizations. In turn, this will enable religious organizations to perform their important social functions: charitable, humanitarian, and educational with maximum efficiency.
